Field Support Technician

Technical Support SpecialistPay Range: $20.00hr - $25.00hrThe candidate will be required to provide Deskside, OSS, and FSO technical support for desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desk telephony, AV equipment, communications room devices, desk cabling, software installation, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will provide a high level of customer satisfaction and must be an extremely strong communicator in both verbal and written communication. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. The candidate will work self-sufficiently to perform fault diagnostics and deliver user requirements while maintaining standards and SLAs.Skills Required:Capable of installing, removing, maintaining, monitoring, and inventorying vehicle technology.Must possess a diverse skill set that enables the candidate to address a wide range of issues independently.Meet all specified service levels and support the requirements of the assignment.Capable of troubleshooting issues with end-user devices, including hardware, operating systems, drivers, and client application challenges.Capable of deploying or redeploying required OS images and builds on compatible legacy hardware, such as Windows 10 and Windows 7.Capable of virtual desktop activities, including capacity planning, monitoring, provisioning, image maintenance, and incident management coordination.Capable of ensuring device health is monitored, reported, and remediated.Capable of maintaining OS currency using established processes leveraging service rings.Capable of performing routine technology health checks and providing in-person services for items in the service catalogue.Capable of performing semi-annual tests, remediation, and validation reports for emergency safety features installed in vehicles.Availability for 24x7 support during major incidents.Capable of offering remote and on-site technical services, including proactive and reactive smart hands support.Capable of mobile device support, including persona management, application access, device enrollment, and firmware updates.Possess the skills, qualifications, and experience necessary to perform the assignment work to high professional standards.Maintain current versions of technical certifications and stay updated with relevant technology changes.Support digital-first and AI-enabled resolution strategies through multiple operational strategies at various locations.Event support including audio and video readiness, event planning, and communications.Capability to provide VIP and executive-level support.Onsite and field IT operations including vehicle technologies, smart hands, legacy technologies, and storm recovery operations.IT software and hardware asset management.Issuing and acting on IT incident and request tickets that require advanced software, hardware, and server knowledge.Main Responsibilities include:Accurately testing, identifying, preparing, repairing, resolving, and documenting end-user technical issues relating to desktop support.Providing second-line IT support to the business community ensuring requirements are met within agreed service level agreements.Working on customer ticketing to ensure timely delivery of service with regular professional updates.Providing infrastructure administration functions.Providing on-site coverage as part of a shift arrangement.Supporting operations in line with contracted business working hours.Providing site support in remote offices when required.Troubleshooting and resolving software issues, OS imaging, and associated systems administration activities.Taking ownership of issues through to resolution on all appropriate requests.Categorizing and prioritizing end-user support requests and service requests utilizing a ticketing system.Ensuring regular customer interaction to adhere to SLAs and high levels of customer service.Providing daily ticket updates to ensure users are fully informed.Moving equipment associated with service requests in line with health and safety guidelines.Performing asset inventory activities as needed.Providing end-user training and guidance on the use of hardware and software.Recommending and performing upgrades to end-user devices.Working flexibly in both business-as-usual and project-based environments.Performing other duties as assigned.Technical Skills:Excellent skills in user IT infrastructure including desktops, laptops, printers, handhelds, and smartphones.Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows 11, Office 365, Teams, Google, ServiceNow, and other common applications.Administration experience with Azure, Intune, and Microsoft Active Directory users, groups, and policies.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Basic knowledge of LAN technologies and hardware.Ability to provide technical support for video conferencing equipment.Due to nature of job The candidate must have Ability to move equipment associated with service requests.
