divh2Ophthalmologist/Glaucoma Specialist/h2pAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting an Ophthalmologist/Glaucoma Specialist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Columbia VA Health Care System located at 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 0800-1630 with call 1 week per month. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers success as if it is their own./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliProvide comprehensive Ophthalmology and Glaucoma care to VA patients/liliPerform clinical evaluations, surgical care, consults, and follow-ups/liliConduct bedside consults for non-ambulatory patients/liliManage walk-ins and scheduled appointments/liliComplete procedures within 30 days of consult date/liliProvide discharge education and follow-up instructions/liliCommunicate test results per VHA Directive 1088/liliFollow all VA medication policies (no sample meds)/liliPerform full range of clinical Ophthalmology and oculoplastic procedures/liliMaintain presence in clinic/OR at the scheduled start time/liliParticipate in quality improvement meetings/liliAttend staff meetings (monthly, ~30 minutes)/liliComplete QM/PI documentation (procedures, complications, outcomes)/liliReport patient safety incidents within 24 hours/liliEnsure complete and timely documentation in the EHR/liliProvide after-hours phone consultation/liliProvide on-site coverage as required/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology (ABO)/liliActive, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia/liliCurrent AHA BLS and ACLS/liliCompletion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency/liliFellowship completion if performing subspecialty care (e.g., Glaucoma)/liliNPI report printout/liliActive DEA license/liliMust be able to pass a federal background investigation/li/ulpAll candidates must be able to:/pulliSit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift/liliLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist/liliLift up to 20 lbs/liliCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance/liliPush/pull with 30 lbs of force/li/ulpAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./p/div
