Business Development Specialist (BDS) - Hospice (23853) Elysian Hospice - Houston - Stafford, TX 77477 Overview Position Type Full Time Category Business Development & Sales Description Location: South West - Houston Region Job Summary: Elysian Hospice is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Specialist (BDS) to lead growth and referral development in the hospice setting. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong partnerships with referral sources, developing strategic marketing initiatives, and driving patient admissions. This is a high-impact, field-based role ideal for someone with hospice experience who understands the importance of compassionate care and can effectively position hospice services within the community. Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years ofhospice business development experiencein a local market Proven track record ofachieving or exceeding admission and census growth goals Strong understanding ofhospice, home health, and post-acute referral sourcesincluding hospitals, SNFs, physician offices, and community partners Experience developing and executingsales and marketing strategies within a defined territory Ability to build and maintain strongreferral relationships and partnerships Experience identifyingmarket trends and growth opportunities History of training, coaching, or mentoring business development staff preferred Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lead tracking or CRM systems Ability to work independently in afield-based environment Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Essential Functions: Develop and executebusiness development and marketing strategiesto drive hospice admissions and census growth Build and maintain relationships withreferral sources including hospitals, physicians, SNFs, and community organizations Conduct regularsales calls, presentations, and in-servicesto promote hospice services and educate referral partners Identify and capitalize onmarket opportunities and referral trendswithin the assigned territory Maintain and growpatient census and quality mixin alignment with organizational goals Collaborate with leadership to supportgrowth strategies and market expansion initiatives Assist in the development and evaluation ofmarketing materials, campaigns, and outreach efforts Support recruitment, training, and development of business development team members Partner with clinical and operational teams to ensuresmooth referral-to-admission conversion Monitor and managelead tracking systems, referral pipelines, and conversion ratios Provide regular updates onmarket activity, referral trends, and performance metrics Represent Elysian Hospice professionally within the community and healthcare networks Please visit cantexcc.com for more information on this location.
