The Daily Nosh is looking for a dependable and motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team. This position combines hands-on food preparation with line cooking responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The Line Cook / Prep Cook plays an important role in keeping the kitchen prepared for successful service while also executing menu items with consistency, speed, and attention to detail. This position works closely with kitchen leadership and fellow team members to maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency.

• Prepare ingredients through chopping, slicing, portioning, batching, and other daily prep tasks
• Follow prep lists, recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines accurately and consistently
• Set up, stock, and maintain assigned line stations for service
• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items to established standards
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation during service
• Monitor inventory and restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food according to FIFO standards
• Maintain clean, organized prep areas, workstations, walk-ins, and storage spaces
• Clean and properly maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements
• Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and fellow team members
• Work efficiently and maintain composure during busy service periods
• Assist with additional kitchen responsibilities as needed to support the team

• Previous restaurant kitchen, line cook, or food prep experience required
• Breakfast and/or high-volume restaurant experience is preferred
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the kitchen
• Ability to stay focused and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment

• Early morning availability required
• Weekend and holiday availability required as needed
• Flexibility to work both prep and line shifts based on business needs

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
