Periop Turnover Asst (N/C) - Full Time Evening

Position Overview Non‑Certified Perioperative Turnover Assistant – Full Time (Evening shift, 36.25 hrs/week). Location: Flushing, New York. You will be part of the perioperative team at NewYork‑Presbyterian Hospital/Queens, ensuring the availability of instruments and supplies and assisting nursing staff with patient and room preparation across a wide range of ambulatory surgical procedures. Responsibilities Maintain instrument and supplies inventory during perioperative, pre‑procedure and peri‑procedure periods. Assist nurses with patient and room preparation. Ensure all equipment is ready for use and promptly address any shortages. Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment to support surgical teams. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Prior experience in healthcare or housekeeping. IAHCSMM certification required; if not currently certified, must obtain certification within 18 months of hire and complete 400 volunteer hours in a central service department. Work Requirements Full‑time evening shift, 36.25 hours per week. All employees must be located within commutable distance to NYP as on‑site presence is required.
