Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Job Purpose Description / Requirements: Material Handlers help ensure we safely and accurately transport materials and finished goods throughout the plant to our customers. This is a first shift position, with varying 8-12 hour shifts based on customer demands. The shift start time is 7am.Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities:Transport materials and inventory to assigned locations using various methods such as forklift, tugger, pallet jack, etc.Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and suppliesCollects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.Conduct cycle counts, which includes verifying accuracy of quantity of materialsLoad finished goods for shipment to customers with industrial truck / material handling equipmentOther duties as assigned by management.Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Prolonged periods of standing & walkingWritten and verbal communication skillsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
