Actuarial Analyst

The Actuarial Analyst performs pricing, reserving, forecasting, and analytical work within a Property & Casualty insurance environment. This position works closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Product Development, and Leadership to analyze business performance, evaluate risk, support regulatory requirements, and provide strategic recommendations. Responsibilities: Analyze rate adequacy, profitability, and product performance using actuarial and statistical techniques. Conduct pricing, reserving, and forecasting analyses. Develop, maintain, and validate actuarial models and reports. Collect, validate, and analyze internal and external data. Support rate filings, actuarial documentation, and regulatory compliance activities. Monitor claims trends, loss experience, and reserve adequacy. Partner with business teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations. Prepare reports, exhibits, and presentations for management. Pursue actuarial credentials through the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). Depending on qualifications, responsibilities may include independently leading complex analyses, applying predictive modeling techniques, and provide guidance to less experienced analysts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. Successful completion of one or more CAS examinations preferred. (Exam progress is a factor in determining salary) One to five years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty insurance, actuarial consulting, or a related environment. (Experience is a factor in determining salary) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SQL, Python, R, SAS, Power BI, or similar analytical tools is preferred. Experience with pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, or regulatory filings is preferred. Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000; based on qualifications and experience

Compensation:
$70,000-$90,000 per year
