Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including trial preparation, motions, plea negotiations, and courtroom advocacy.
- Handle workers' compensation claims, including client counseling, claim filings, hearings, and appeals.
- Manage insurance defense cases, including claims analysis, discovery, settlement negotiations, and litigation.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and court decisions in all assigned practice areas.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
- Proven experience in criminal defense, workers' compensation, and/or insurance defense.
- Strong litigation skills, including trial experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to client service.
