Senior Customer Care Specialist

Overview As a Senior Customer Care Specialist, you serve as the primary operator and steward of the City’s core utility billing processes for water, sewer, electric, reclaimed water, and other utility services, ensuring accurate billing, collections, and account maintenance. Responsibilities Generate and process utility bills for multiple services. Manage collections, administer shut‑offs, penalties, and broken payment arrangements. Update accounts accurately for rate changes and new developments. Create and maintain construction meter billing and operational audit reports. Review account data, identify and correct billing discrepancies, and support delinquency actions. Assist with compliance for collections, bankruptcy procedures, and billing policies. Maintain billing system codes, tables, and templates to ensure efficient processing. Provide guidance to Customer Care Representatives as needed. Qualifications Any combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Education and Experience High school graduation or GED equivalent.
