Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg Telemetry team. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry and acute care skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Details

• Shift: Night shifts
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: 1 call shift in an 8-week block

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, you will be responsible for:

• Providing care to patients with medical-surgical and cardiac conditions.
• Monitoring vital signs and telemetry readings to ensure patient safety.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using the EMR system (EPIC).

Qualifications

• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in telemetry and acute inpatient care.
• Education: Valid RN license.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Preferred Experience: IMC experience.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 45
• Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4-5 patients; Nights: 1:5-6 patients.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Any color is acceptable.
• Unacceptable Attire: Hoodies, earbuds.
