The Mortgage Loan Officer plays a vital role in guiding clients through the process of obtaining residential mortgage loans. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this position involves evaluating financial information, originating loans, and ensuring thorough documentation review while utilizing industry-standard tools such as Encompass and Salesforce. The role offers opportunities for career advancement within the company and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to assess their mortgage needs and financial situation
- Originate residential mortgage loans in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
- Evaluate creditworthiness and analyze financial documentation
- Review loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage lending
- Mortgage Loan Originator License (NMLS) required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in credit analysis and financial documentation review
- Strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills
