Field Service Engineer II

Job Summary The Field Service Engineer II will be responsible for meeting the daily service, maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment, establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers, performing necessary administrative duties, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Onsite and remote troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repairs on Advanced Instruments equipment. Complete and manage Pharmaceutical IQOQ/ yearly OQ and Clinical Validations. Complete preventative maintenance and field modifications within specified time frames. Order and manage car stock inventory. Troubleshoot at mechanical, electrical, and application levels. Schedule installation, PMs, repairs, and other field events. Provide phone support and triage technical support issues periodically. Maintain service records and provide service reports in a timely manner. Provide training to junior field engineers. Maintain daily communications and scheduling with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow‑up. Use the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues. Maintain tools and test equipment and ensure proper calibration. Identify and work with Sales on new service contracts, contract renewals and system sales opportunities. Manage territory independently while supporting a larger team. Lifting and carrying a toolbox up to 50 lbs. Adhere to regulatory requirements including HIPAA, OSHA and FDA. Provide field training to other Field Service Engineers. Experience Requirements Three years’ work experience in the medical device industry. Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers in a solution‑based service process. Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment. Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns. Proven record of reliability and accountability. Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, Teams). Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, self‑directed, entrepreneurial environment. Resourceful, independent self‑learner. Adaptable to changing circumstances. Decision‑making, problem‑resolution and creative thinking skills. Ability to multi‑task with shifting priorities and work productively in a pressurized environment. Ethical and trustworthy. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Travel as required (air and ground). Valid driver’s license and safe operation of a motor vehicle. Transport materials, samples or demonstration equipment (up to ~25 lbs). Stand and engage with customers for extended periods.
