Fedcap Rehabilitation Services is seeking a dependable, hands-on Porter to support the daily cleanliness, sanitation, and upkeep of our facilities. What You’ll Do

• Clean and disinfect offices, common areas, hallways, staircases, break rooms, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform floor care, including stripping, waxing, and buffing VCT floors.
• Remove trash and recycling and maintain sanitary waste-disposal areas.
• Monitor assigned spaces throughout the shift and respond quickly to cleaning needs.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure supplies are stocked and ready for use.
• Move furniture, assist with deliveries, and support other facility needs as assigned.
• Provide floater coverage at different facilities based on operational needs.

You’re a Great Fit If You

• Have experience in commercial, janitorial, custodial, or facility cleaning.
• Know how to safely use common cleaning tools, equipment, supplies, and floor-care equipment.
• Are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Can stand and walk for extended periods and repeatedly lift/move approximately 50–75 pounds.
• Can work a flexible schedule, including various shifts and weekends when required.
• Can travel to work assignments throughout all five New York City boroughs.
• Treat staff, clients, visitors, and coworkers with professionalism and respect.

Compensation & Schedule

$18.00 per hour. This is a permanent position scheduled approximately 35–40 hours per week. The role begins as a Floater and requires flexibility to provide coverage at various locations and shifts based on operational needs.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means assigned spaces are consistently clean and sanitary, floor-care tasks are completed to standard, cleaning needs are addressed promptly, equipment and supplies remain ready for use, and facility occupants receive dependable, professional service.
