Location: On-site - Pittsburgh, PA (but willing to travel to other PANTHERx fulfillment locations, including TN) Classification: Non-exempt Status: Full-Time Reports to: Supervisor, Role-Based Training Purpose The Trainer, Fulfillment Pharmacist trains Fulfillment Clinical Pharmacists and Fulfillment Pharmacy Technicians on the basic functions essential for their new role. The Trainer, Fulfillment Pharmacist has strong knowledge of basic fulfillment functions including, but not limited to, product receipt, lot tracking, counting medications, shipping coordination, and completing verification of prescription drug orders during fulfillment process. Responsibilities Designs, develops, and delivers onboarding and ongoing training programs for Fulfillment Clinical Pharmacists to be able to complete the following: Complete verification of prescription orders during prescription fulfillment process. Understand fulfillment pharmacist duties during on-call hours Assists in the development and execution of quality and production standards in the fulfillment area Communicates with RxARECARE team members. Identify the proper shipping solution for each therapy, understand the pack-out and perform final packaging. Designs, develops, and delivers onboarding and ongoing training programs for Fulfillment Technicians to be able to complete the following: Fulfill prescriptions including, but not limited to product receipt, lot tracking, counting medications and shipper coordination. Gathers supply items that are included on a delivery ticket. Creates supply kits for specified programs. Communicates with RxARECARE team members. Proper ticketing of orders utilizing designated vendor shipping application (FedEx, UPS) Engages in bi-weekly meetings with the Role-Based Training team. Engages in recurring Fulfillment team meetings to maintain excellent understanding of current policies and procedures. Conduct classroom and one‑on‑one training sessions using adult learning principles. Assist with development and maintenance of training materials, guides, e-learning modules, job aids, and competency assessments as they relate to the fulfillment process. Creation of a training plan by coordinating with other members of leadership and the Clinical Pharmacist staff to ensure Fulfillment Pharmacists and Technicians are trained adequately prior to working independently. Facilitates additional training of Fulfillment Team with leadership as needed. Identifies skill or knowledge gaps and propose targeted learning interventions. Partner with pharmacy operations, clinical, compliance, and quality teams to ensure training reflects current policies, SOPs, and therapeutic knowledge. Support new program implementations, system changes, and process improvements through updated training. Ensures safety of patients and personnel by exercising good pharmacy practice in the process of drug therapy instructions to the patient. Reviews literature and other materials pertinent to the practice of pharmacy and attend/complete education and training programs. Performs fulfillment pharmacist duties during on‑call hours on a rotating basis; on‑call duties may involve transporting products to and from Panther facility. Adherence to all Train‑the‑Trainer (TTT) program requirements. Performs all other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy of Registered Pharmacist degree from an ACPE accredited institution. Active and unrestricted Pharmacist licensure for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Active Pharmacist license for Tennessee or willingness to obtain license within 60 days. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years as a practicing, licensed pharmacist. Minimum of three (3) years of specialty pharmacy operations experience, including cold chain management experience. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
