DME Express is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for dependable, hardworking Delivery Drivers / Medical Equipment Technicians to join our team.

DME Express is a medical supply company dedicated to providing exceptional service and high-quality medical equipment to the hospice community. Our team delivers and picks up essential medical equipment, including wheelchairs, hospital beds, oxygen equipment, and other DME for hospice patients.

Our continued growth comes from our shared commitment to service excellence, passion, and an uncompromising desire to serve the hospice industry.

No previous DME experience is required. We will train the right candidates. Pay varies based on experience.

What You'll Do

As a Delivery Driver / Medical Equipment Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring hospice patients and their families receive the medical equipment they need in a timely and professional manner.

Delivery & Patient Support

• Determine or obtain the best daily delivery route.
• Assemble, deliver, and pick up required medical equipment.
• Educate patients and families on the proper use of equipment.
• Provide patient/client orientation and instructions on equipment use when applicable.
• Work directly with patients and clients to help resolve a variety of equipment-related concerns while serving as a DME Express field representative.
• Complete the delivery and pickup process through the company app promptly and accurately.
• Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when working with clients.

Equipment & Warehouse Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repairs of medical equipment.
• Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the warehouse and delivery vehicle.
• Perform required daily preventive maintenance on the assigned company vehicle.
• Perform warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all applicable DOT and FDA regulations related to oxygen and durable medical equipment.
• Ensure Medical Equipment Technicians adhere to company and accreditation standards.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance.
• Represent and market DME Express in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Teamwork & Scheduling

• Promote teamwork by assisting fellow drivers as needed.
• Be available to work Saturdays and Sundays on a predetermined rotating schedule when required.
• Participate in predetermined rotating on-call coverage during the week and on weekends.
• Accept additional duties and activities as assigned.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

• Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
• Understand that DME Express is a 24/7 operation with a predetermined rotating on-call schedule.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Are able to lift 75 pounds on a daily basis.
• Are willing to perform additional duties and activities as assigned.

No previous experience is required. Training will be provided to the right candidates.

COVID Precautions

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and required. Temperature screenings and social distancing guidelines are in place, along with sanitizing and disinfecting procedures for equipment and vehicles.
