Overview
Registered Nurse – Geriatric | Templeton, California, United States
This is a travel, temporary assignment for a geriatric-focused RN in a short term acute care hospital setting. Start date is 11/09/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,681 to $2,779, with guaranteed hours of 48 per week. Shift is night, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The assignment supports a hospital environment delivering acute and transitional care with a patient population that includes older adults.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to geriatric patients in collaboration with the health care team, within standard nursing practices.
- Assess patient needs, plan care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes; coordinate care across disciplines and coordinate with case management for discharge planning.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document in the electronic health record.
- Monitor vital signs, manage acute changes in condition, and implement fall prevention, safety, and comfort measures for older adults.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and teammates; participate in rounds and ensure patient education and family engagement.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years for experienced nurses; certifications must be maintained as required by hospital policy; ACLS and NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer; EPIC experience required; familiarity with GE Centricity and Keriton charting systems is a plus.
- Experience: One-year recent acute care RN experience.
- Additional: Must have a valid state nursing license and the ability to work in a hospital setting; strong geriatric care skills, patient safety focus, and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
