Lab Technician I

Job Title

Pay Range: $16.41hr - $18.56hr

Requirement/Must Have

• Bachelor Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related majors.
• Previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments required.
• Skills in microbial culture (liquid and plating), microscope use, making culture medium, and basic sterile technique.
• Computer skills in using Google spreadsheet/doc/slides and data analysis.
• Strong adherence to SOPs with an emphasis on reliable and accurate data collection.
• Excellent documentation skills for consistent and precise data recording.
• Ability to quickly learn new procedures.
• Capable of performing routine tasks daily in a professional lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in vitro and ex vivo microbiological tests on raw ingredients and consumer products.
• Maintain bacterial cultures and perform bacterial assays.
• Run biological assays including cell viability, bacterial plating, and genomics.
• Analyze lab data, perform simple statistical analysis, and draft reports to summarize in vitro tests.
• Interact with multifunctional technical/non-technical personnel and participate effectively in a team environment.
• Exhibit good presentation, communication, and project management skills, potentially managing multiple projects with different timelines and goals.

Nice to Have

• Chemistry degree strongly preferred.
• Recent graduates within the past 3-5 years preferred.
• Lab experience at one year and above.
