Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each phase with empathy and patience
• Work closely alongside radiologists and referring physicians to ensure top-notch quality diagnostic imaging
• Operate and uphold the proper maintenance of imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Accurately document procedures and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic medical system
• Keep up to date with advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related discipline
• Preferably completed a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
