A leading manufacturer of premium labels and flexible packaging in St. Louis is hiring Machine Operators for its second and third shifts. The facility produces pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging used by major brands in the food, beverage, healthcare, personal-care, and household-product industries.

Machine Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring high-speed printing and converting equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous machine-operating experience in printing, packaging, converting, or manufacturing.

Available Shifts:

• Second shift
• Third shift
• Full-time positions with overtime as production needs require

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate high-speed printing or converting equipment
• Load rolls of material and prepare the machine for each production order
• Install and adjust cylinders, blades, tooling, inks, and other components as required
• Review work orders and verify materials, colors, measurements, and job specifications
• Adjust machine speed, tension, alignment, registration, and other settings
• Monitor the printing process to maintain consistent color and print quality
• Inspect finished products for defects, incorrect dimensions, poor registration, or color variations
• Complete required quality checks and production documentation
• Accurately record production quantities, waste, downtime, and material usage
• Troubleshoot minor equipment and print-quality issues
• Perform changeovers, cleaning, and routine preventive maintenance
• Package, label, or stage completed products as required
• Minimize material waste while meeting production expectations
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures
• Communicate equipment problems and production concerns to supervisors and maintenance
• Work closely with helpers, quality personnel, maintenance, and other production departments

Qualifications:

• Previous machine-operating experience in a manufacturing environment
• Printing, label, packaging, or converting experience is strongly preferred
• Flexographic, digital-printing, slitting, rewinding, laminating, or die-cutting experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read work orders, measurements, and production specifications
• Ability to distinguish colors and recognize printing defects
• Comfortable using hand tools and making precise machine adjustments
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime when required
• Ability to stand throughout the shift and regularly lift up to 50 pounds

This is a long-term opportunity with a growing printing and packaging manufacturer that serves well-known consumer brands. Candidates with printing experience are encouraged to apply, but experienced machine operators from other manufacturing environments will also be considered.
