Job Details Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Location: Asheville, NC 28801 — a vibrant mountain community in Western North Carolina, known for the Blue Ridge Mountains, artsy downtown, and outdoor lifestyle Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Float Areas: MFMU, Mother-Baby, NICU Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients Ability to provide immediate newborn care and support postpartum transitions Preferred: circulating experience in Labor & Delivery or OB settings Required certifications: BLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, adaptable healthcare environment Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, cerclage, and C-hyst cases as assigned Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring equipment and respond to changes in patient condition Assist with high-risk obstetric care and collaborate with providers on labor and delivery nursing interventions Deliver immediate newborn assessment, stabilization, and care following delivery Work closely with charge nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to support excellent patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Why Apply for This Asheville Travel Nursing Job?
