Role Description The Xray Technologist role at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is an on-site position located in Buffalo, NY. In this role, the technologist performs diagnostic radiologic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring high-quality images for accurate clinical interpretation. Daily responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating radiologic equipment, following radiation safety guidelines, and maintaining accurate patient and imaging records. The technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to support timely, safe, and compassionate patient care, while adhering to regulatory standards and institutional policies. Qualifications Licensure and certification in Radiologic Technology, including current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Demonstrated proficiency in Radiology and Radiologic Technology practices, including performing and optimizing diagnostic X-ray procedures. Strong foundation in Radiation Safety and safe operation of radiologic equipment, with adherence to ALARA principles and institutional protocols. Basic knowledge of Medicine as it relates to imaging, anatomy, and pathology to support accurate imaging and patient care. Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred. Ability to provide respectful, trauma-informed care to a diverse patient population, including individuals undergoing complex cancer treatments. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience in an oncology or hospital setting is beneficial, along with familiarity with electronic health records and digital imaging systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
