What You'll Do

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on records reviews and clinical interviews with inmates
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
• Document treatment and evaluations accurately in health records
• Provide crisis interventions and counseling tailored to inmate needs
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
• Demonstrate knowledge of psychological counseling techniques and theory
• Support inmate mental health needs through appropriate assessments and planning

What You Need

• Active license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
• Prior experience in mental health assessment, counseling, or crisis intervention
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal standards
• Open availability per CoreCivic scheduling policy
• Valid Social Security Card and Driver's License for facility clearance

About the Assignment This role is positioned within a secure facility dedicated to inmate mental health services. The Mental Health Therapist will provide non-medical clinical services, including assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention, ensuring inmates receive necessary psychological support in compliance with facility standards.
