Academic Physician - MD/DO - Biochemical Geneticist

Position Overview SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health, is seeking a Clinical Biochemical Geneticist for the Division of Medical Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. The appointment will be made at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, with rank and salary determined by qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Provide clinical care as a member of the metabolic team, which includes physicians, genetic counselors, nurses, and clinical dietitians. Participate in medical education activities for medical students, residents, and other health‑care trainees. Contribute to administrative functions within the Division of Medical Genetics. Collaborate with the Prenatal Genetic Services team and the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division. Engage in clinical and molecular genetics research projects. Qualifications ABMG active candidate status or certification as a Biochemical Geneticist. Experience or training that aligns with an Assistant or Associate Professor academic rank. Demonstrated interest in academic achievement and teaching in clinical genetics. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and to contribute to a diverse patient population.
