This oceanfront, all-suite hotel reopened in July 2019 after undergoing a $35 million complete transformation. Expect an inventive menu, artfully prepared plates, and handcrafted cocktails to join a curated wine list—all resulting in a Southern California dining experience beyond compare. We are now seeking motivated and enthusiastic professionals to join our team as integral members. Responsibilities As the food and beverage Manager for the Hotel Oceana Santa Monica, you directly supervise all food and beverage staff and ensure unparalleled food service for both the restaurant and room service. Your goal is to achieve high guest satisfaction and exceptional service for our guests. You will use your at least three years of food and beverage experience (with at least one year in a supervisory role) in an elevated dining operation to direct and coordinate the restaurant’s day‑to‑day operations. Your attention to detail will support the management team in maximizing the restaurant’s profitability through adequate staff, vendor, and inventory management. You will frequently work with the on‑site leadership team to achieve revenue goals, hire, train and develop new staff, address guest concerns quickly and effectively, and ensure the hotel is meeting its regulatory obligations regarding food service, training, and employment. Your friendly, efficient, and high‑touch approach is essential for engaging with guests and team members while consistently enforcing company standards to drive results. You will direct and coordinate the restaurant’s day‑to‑day operations, manage staffing, vendor relations, inventory, and ensure compliance with food service standards and regulations. Your role will involve overseeing the profitability of the restaurant, achieving revenue goals, and maintaining high standards of service excellence. The Details… You will work a full‑time hospitality schedule defined by operational needs, including weekends and holidays. Willing to conform to hotel dress and grooming standards, which include meeting uniform standards, no visible tattoos while wearing a uniform, no unnatural hair colors, no piercings other than one pair of earrings, and neatly groomed facial hair. New employees accrue 40 hours of vacation in the first year and earn 80 hours of paid sick leave per year.
