Clinical Practice in Obstetrics & Gynecology | Leadership Role with No Night Call

Our organization is in search of a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN to take on the role of Associate Program Director (APD) for an upcoming community-based OB/GYN Residency Program, set to commence in the summer of 2027. This position merges significant educational leadership with clinical practice in a supportive, hospital-employed setting. The clinical responsibilities are backed by a collaborative team of generalist OB/GYNs and a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist team, ensuring no night call and promoting a healthy work-life balance.

The Associate Program Director will collaborate closely with the Program Director to enhance the educational, operational, and cultural aspects of the residency program while maintaining an active clinical role. This position includes designated time for residency leadership tasks, which encompass:

• Assisting the Program Director with residency administration, curriculum development, and program enhancements.
• Allocating specific administrative time for leadership duties.
• Engaging in scholarly activities and quality improvement projects with institutional research backing.
• Contributing to program operations and compliance through committee participation, evaluation processes, faculty development, and recruitment efforts.
• Teaching and mentoring OB/GYN residents and medical students in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, Labor & Delivery, and surgical environments.
• Providing supervised clinical education and constructive feedback during routine patient care.
• Fostering a positive, hands-on learning atmosphere rooted in community-based practice.

Our OB/GYN team emphasizes collaboration over competition. Physicians actively support one another through:

• Co-managing complex surgical and obstetric cases.
• Real-time partner backup and consultation.
• A shared daytime in-hospital call rotation (NO NIGHT CALL).

All major women's health subspecialties are readily accessible, including:

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Gynecologic Oncology
• Urogynecology
• Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (in partnership with regional specialists)

This integrated system facilitates seamless referrals and comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Inpatient services are provided at the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children, an eight-story, state-of-the-art facility designed for compassionate, family-centered care, featuring:

• Comprehensive services for women and children.
• A dedicated OB Emergency Department.
• A specialized Children's Emergency Department.
• A Level III NICU with 24/7 support from a Neonatologist and NICU team.
• 24/7 OB-focused anesthesia services.
• Dedicated surgical suites for women with specialized surgical teams.
• Da Vinci Xi robotic systems (robotics available but not mandatory).
• Modern, elegant, patient-centered environments.

This position is ideal for OB/GYNs who:

• Are Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABMS or AOA and possess a current Florida medical license or the ability to obtain one.
• Prefer a primarily clinical OB/GYN practice.
• Enjoy mentoring residents and medical students as part of their daily clinical responsibilities.
• Are interested in contributing to the development of a new OB/GYN Residency Program launching in Summer 2027.
