ABR is recruiting a 1st or  2nd shift MIG or TIG Welder in Wausau, WI. Enjoy 3 day weekends on 2nd shift!
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour starting wage, based on experience. 
Schedule: 1st shift is Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 2nd shift is Monday – Thursday, 3:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.- 3 day weekends!
Advancement Opportunity: Employees are eligible for a potential $1.00 per hour wage increase after 60 days based on performance and attendance. Additional pay increases are available through advancement within our Welder Level Program.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated TIG Welder to join our growing team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with TIG welding, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications and blueprints.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and welding symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials prior to welding.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality control requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
• Assist with additional fabrication and manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous TIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to use measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes.
