Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Position involves working in the Emergency Room. Shift rotations include evenings and nights as needed. Staffing ratios are 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night. Weekend shifts required for 1-2 out of every 3 weeks. The role requires experience with moderate sedation, IV starts, cardioversion, and mental health patients. Knowledge in sepsis protocol and EKGs is essential. Familiarity with special equipment such as Bipap, monitors, and IV pumps is required. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Daily census ranges from 40-55 patients, with approximately 40 visits per day. Position may involve floating to meet facility needs. Previous charge nurse experience and familiarity with emergency situations are advantageous. Preferred experience with pediatrics, geriatrics, and others. Candidates should be able to handle a variety of disease processes in patients.
