We are partnering with a growing organization in the Jersey City, NJ area seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with day-to-day operational accounting involvement.

The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions, support financial reporting and cash flow management, and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP and AR functions
• Prepare and maintain A/R aging reports and assist with collections visibility
• Manage month-end close , including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis
• Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 842 accounting standards
• Assist with process improvements and support overall accounting operations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and operational teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3+ years of prior accounting leadership/management experience
• Prior oversight of AP/AR operations
• Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 842
• Experience with cash flow forecasting and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA designation
• Experience with Sage Intacct and/or Sage 300
