Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening in New Castle, DE , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.67 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat02:00 AM - 10:00 AM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment-related access requirements, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Conduct screening of people, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with post procedures, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns to site leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and assisting with initial response actions as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual conditions, access issues, and/or potential security-related risks within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
