• Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care RN with Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Patient Types: Post-op, medical/surgical, telemetry, patients with conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-operative cases including joint replacements and abdominal surgeries.
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6 (day shift), 1:6 (night shift), CNA: 2 per shift when census allows

What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in a newly established unit
• Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy including PICC lines and wound vacs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including hospitalists, PT, OT, RT, and support staff
• Assist with patient charting and documentation in Meditech EMR system
• Support unit operations, including passing phlebotomy and running support equipment such as IV pumps and medication dispensing systems
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements

What You Need:

• Valid Louisiana RN license and certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• Strong competency in wound care, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam before start date
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
