Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult medical-surgical patients on a 14-bed unit, with careful monitoring and timely responses to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed; perform point-of-care testing and routine procedures within scope
• Document care in the electronic health record; update care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; educate patients and families on Condition, treatments, and post-acute care needs
• Maintain patient safety, apply infection control practices, and adhere to unit protocols and regulatory standards
• Participate in rounds and care coordination with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to support efficient patient flow

Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the assigned inpatient Med-Surg unit on a 13-week travel contract
• Willingness and ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) on a 3x12 schedule
• Demonstrated ability to care for adult medical-surgical patients in a unit with 1:5 patient ratio
• Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• Ability to complete credentialing and onboarding processes and comply with unit policies and safety standards
