A Beacon Hill client in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term stability and strong growth potential in a collaborative accounting environment. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and process improvement initiatives. The pay rate is $40.00-$50.00 per hour, depending on experience. Previous experience managing month-end close activities and financial reporting in a corporate accounting environment is required.

Position Summary:

Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting requests

Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls

Support internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Investigate and resolve account variances and reconciliation discrepancies

Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy Technical Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

3+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close

Experience preparing financial statements and management reporting packages

ERP system experience required; NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions

CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification highly preferred

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
