Senior Accountant

A nonprofit organization based in South Jersey is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance Department. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of key accounting operations while also contributing to process improvements. Core responsibilities include accounts receivable oversight, fixed asset management, reconciliations, and audit preparation. Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Responsibilities Manage and reconcile billings, ensuring accurate schedules, timely postings to the general ledger, and regulatory compliance. Review, revise, and correct historical accounting schedules to strengthen financial accuracy and reporting consistency. Track and update fixed asset records, preparing journal entries and maintaining related schedules. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end closing activities. Provide payroll backup support to guarantee continuity of operations. Maintain knowledge of various government regulation financial compliance standards, applying them to daily processes and reporting. Prepare documentation and coordinate with external auditors during annual audit cycles.
