Contract Staff Accountant

Our client, location in Coppell, is looking for a Contract Staff Accountant for the next 1-3 months. 30-day commitment required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger activities and balances
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare financial reports for management review.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting regulations
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Review and process company credit card transactions.
• Communicate with external customers via portals and support customer success.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably MS Business Central
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
