Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor beds, 1 antepartum bed, 3 triage bays, and 12 post-partum beds
• Patient types include cesarean sections, laboring patients, mother/baby, OB triage, high risk, and antepartum
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: L&D 1:1 and post-partum 1:1-3
• Must have ability to interpret fetal heart tracings and manage labor patients through delivery
• Must be flexible in caring for obstetric patients including ability to circulate for cesarean sections, newborn transitioning, and care of post-partum couplet
• Float only within LDRP areas
• Weekend rotation required once per month
• Holiday expectations include 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday
• No call required unless traveler voluntarily opts in
• Orientation consists of 1-3 shifts based on comfort level
• Charting system experience with EPIC preferred; also uses Alaris and Pyxis
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, FHM
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers welcome

This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 74 beds, providing comprehensive care across a range of medical specialties. The Labor and Delivery unit operates with strong support including a charge nurse, obstetrician and anesthesia on call 24/7, a dedicated phlebotomy team, and fetal monitoring services. The facility maintains high standards of obstetric care and follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing, ensuring a well-supported environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.
