Maintenance Technician

Description Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team of property management professionals at apartment communities in Lawrence, MA. The Maintenance Technician's role requires effective evaluation in response to a broad range of maintenance needs to assist the Service Manager with the efficient operation of the property. Responsibilities Electrical Plumbing HVAC Appliance Repair Locks & Keys Basic Carpentry Painting and Drywall Repair Janitorial, Grounds and Snow Removal Cleaning Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the building common areas and other assigned areas Maintains exterior grounds according to company standards Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field with a minimum of 3 years and related job experience Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both written and verbal Solid computer skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner Reliable vehicle needed to perform essential duties of the position Compensation and Benefits Peabody Properties offers $21.16/hr - $28.00/hr dependent on experience, property size, location and budget, along with a rich benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401(k), STD, life insurance, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), paid time off, paid holidays, paid training, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, employee referral bonuses, and flex spending EEO Statement Peabody Properties, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to workforce diversity.
