Junior Hydraulics & Stormwater Engineer

Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Junior Hydraulics & Stormwater Engineer in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities Assist with preparation of engineering and design documents, computations and quantity estimates. Assist with analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects. Complete job‑specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual. Visit project sites for field investigations and other duties to meet project needs. May assist with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. May attend client meetings - days or nights. Other duties as assigned. A valid driver's license and some travel will be required. Qualifications A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least 1 year of applicable experience. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with NCDOT or other state/municipal DOT stormwater/hydraulics design guidelines, policies and procedures. Experience with OpenRoads Designer - Drainage and Utilities. Experience designing open and closed stormwater conveyance systems. Exposure to relevant HEC-RAS, SRH-2D, EPA SWMM, HydroCAD software. Exposure to Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GIS), Low Impact Development (LID), and Stormwater Control Measure/BMP design. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
