Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Our client, a manufacturing organization specializing in logistics and distribution, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the Shipping & Receiving Department supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and reliability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $21/hr

Shift: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Pick and pull customer sales orders, manufacturing work orders, and engineering work orders from various locations within the plant.
• Accurately record material consumption and transactions using RF Scanner Gun or desktop computer.
• Pack customer sales orders following all packing procedures for small packages or LTL shipments.
• Operate sit-down, reach truck, and order picker forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and proper placement.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse material handling.
• Ability to operate forklifts such as sit-down, reach truck, and order pickers.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds alone.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
