Shipping Clerk
Strategic Telecom · Richmond, VA · Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm · $18–$21/hr. (based on experience)
Strategic Telecom ships orders out of our Richmond warehouse every day, and we're looking for a Shipping Clerk who takes pride in getting every order out the door accurate and on time. You'll run our UPS and FedEx shipping stations, follow customer routing guides, and be the last set of eyes on an order before it leaves the building. What You'll Do
● Pack and ship customer orders accurately and on time, following routing guides and shipping instructions
● Run UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager for small package and freight shipments
● Track and log every shipment per company procedure
● Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and safe
● Pitch in on related warehouse tasks (like pulling parts) as needed
What We're Looking For
Required:
● 2+ years of hands-on experience packing and shipping orders
● 2+ years of experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager
● Comfortable using a computer and shipping/receiving/inventory software
● Strong attention to detail, organization, and basic math skills
● A self-starter who works well with minimal supervision and communicates clearly with the team
Nice to have:
● Experience shipping in a warehouse or distribution environment
● Familiarity with inventory or warehouse management software beyond UPS/FedEx tools
Physical Requirements
● On your feet and moving around the shipping/warehouse floor for most of the shift
● Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally (for example, moving finished goods to the shipping area)
● Comfortable using a computer, scanner, and standard shipping equipment throughout the day
● Clear communication by phone and email with carriers, coworkers, and managers
