Sales Representative – Lead Residential Sales and Energy Solutions Job Overview

• Company: Professor Gatsby's Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical
• Salary/Pay Rate: $60,000 Base + Commission with potential to make $140,000+ per year
• Location: West Berlin, NJ area
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Schedule: Flexible as needed, including nights and weekend rotations.
• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for high-performing sales professionals who will thrive in a consultative, in-home environment. As a Sales Representative, you’ll meet with homeowners, uncover comfort and efficiency needs and design tailored HVAC solutions that improve how families live every day. You’ll have the opportunity to earn at a high level while representing a company that prioritizes accuracy and integrity. Previous sales experience is required — HVAC experience is not. We provide the training and support needed to help top sales talent succeed in the industry.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Conduct thorough in-home inspections to diagnose equipment needs and provide high-integrity technical recommendations.
• Present complex HVAC load calculations and system options in clear, layman's terms to ensure homeowner confidence.
• Execute high-volume sales strategies for residential heating and cooling systems to meet ambitious growth targets.
• Coordinate detailed project specifications with installation teams to guarantee a seamless transition from sale to service.
• Analyze individual performance metrics and attend frequent staff training to stay at the forefront of industry product offerings.
• Manage a demanding appointment schedule during peak seasons to maximize market share and personal earning potential.
• Cultivate long-term customer relationships by upholding the "Professor Gatsby" standard of attention to detail and expertise.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record of success in sales, preferably home improvement sales or residential HVAC sales.
• Ability to learn HVAC system sizing, load calculations, and technical product recommendations.
• Valid driver’s license with a history of safe vehicle operation.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of professional sales experience specifically within the HVAC industry.
• Advanced understanding of energy-efficient systems and modern climate control technology.
• Experience operating in a high-stakes, commission-only environment.
