Per Diem Resident CompanionRiverMead Health Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate Per Diem Resident Companion to accompany residents to off-site medical appointments. This role is ideal for individuals who are attentive, organized, and committed to providing respectful, supportive assistance while ensuring residents' comfort and safety during outings.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide companionship to RiverMead Health Center residents during off-site appointments as assigned by the Health Center Administrator or designeeEscort residents using the RiverMead van or other transportation arranged by RiverMead, the resident, or the resident's familyAssist residents with outer garments (e.g., coats, hats) and provide general non-medical support as neededAssume responsibility for the receipt, transport, and delivery of required forms and recordsAdhere to established wheelchair safety and/or non-lift protocols and trainingCommunicate and relay all pertinent information from appointments to the Health Center nursing staff in a timely mannerQualificationsCPR certification requiredAbility to remain calm and composed in dynamic or unexpected situationsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsReliable, punctual, and detail-orientedAbility to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
