About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Accounting / Controller to lead the financial integrity of the organization. This senior leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory filings. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a strong internal control environment, overseeing audits, and partnering with various teams to support financial strategy. Key responsibilities include leading all accounting operations, establishing and maintaining accounting policies, and driving process improvements. The role also involves mentoring and developing a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, and serving as a strategic partner to the CFO and the Executive Leadership Team. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting / Controller position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years' of accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years' in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls is essential, as is experience in regulatory reporting and audits. The ideal candidate will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, be a CPA (preferred), and have a background in a regulated financial institution. The role requires excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
