Cardiologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist Physician for a 130-day assignment in New York. The client offers a Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility for four 10-hour shifts, featuring a mix of inpatient rounding and outpatient care. Join a collaborative team environment and help manage acute cardiac conditions, perform diagnostic readings, and provide comprehensive cardiology consults. Practice Info Setting: Inpatient and outpatient clinic Patients per Day: 18-20 Staffing Mix: 2 Physicians, 3 Advanced Practice Providers (no supervision duties), and nursing staff Responsibilities Perform inpatient rounding and outpatient appointments Conduct readings for various cardiac studies Read Pacemakers, Defibrillators, and Echos Manage acute cardiac conditions including Heart Attack Recovery in the CCU, unstable angina, heart failure exacerbations, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac intervention management Interpret EKGs Provide cardiology consults for evaluation of chest pain, assessment of heart murmurs, management of hypertension, diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, workup for syncope, and pre-operative cardiac evaluations Execute various procedures and studies Compensation Strong compensation Benefits Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Shift & Schedule 130-day assignment Monday through Friday schedule, typically 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for four 10-hour shifts and outpatient clinic starting at 10 AM on consult days Call Schedule: Out of house call for hospital and ED consults, primarily phone consults, shared with Advanced Practice Providers, rarely requiring hospital presence Qualifications Board Certifications: Cardiology Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
