Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Manage day-to-day plant operations, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

• Monitor and maintain equipment performance, coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs.

Production & Quality Management

• Oversee the manufacturing of overhead cranes and related components to meet quality specifications and delivery timelines.

• Implement and maintain quality control systems to minimize defects and ensure compliance with other industry standards.

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve production issues and improve product manufacturability.

Team Management & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide training opportunities for team members.

• Ensure proper staffing levels and manage labor costs effectively.

Financial & Strategic Planning

• Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs while meeting production targets.

• Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Compliance & Safety

• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular audits.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and other applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in heavy equipment or crane manufacturing.

• Skills:

o Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

o Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

o Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

o Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools.

o Knowledge of welding, machining, and assembly processes for overhead cranes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.

• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
