Hospitalist Physician

Permanent Position for Physician - Hospitalist - OB in Longmont, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care overnight, including labor management, deliveries, postpartum care, and triage.
• Manage gynecologic consults for acute issues during nocturnist shifts.
• Perform urgent assessments and interventions for obstetric and gynecologic patients overnight.
• Collaborate closely with a collegial team of 8 OB/GYN physicians and 4 advanced practice providers (APPs).
• Provide backup coverage and support for complex cases with multispecialty teams onsite.
• Communicate effectively with day teams to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care.
• Document all patient interactions, procedures, and consults within a fully integrated Epic EMR environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols in the OB unit.
• Support a flexible schedule of 6 12 nocturnist shifts per month for work-life balance.
• Contribute to a culture of patient-centered care aligning with the mission of improving lives.
• Handle emergency obstetric situations, including rapid response for maternal or fetal complications.
• Support the training and mentoring of residents or APPs during nocturnist shifts.
• Participate in hospital committee work or overnight process improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in OB/GYN.
• Possession of a Colorado medical license or willingness to obtain one.
• Clean malpractice history highly preferred.
• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days).
• DEA must be obtained prior to start.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified in OB/GYN - required.

• DEA registration - must be obtained before starting.
