CNC Mill Machinist (Days) Location: Macomb, MI, 48042
Work Type: Direct Placement/Direct Hire
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, with occasional half-day shifts on Saturdays as needed. Role Summary We're seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling equipment in an aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate can read and interpret blueprints, follow job instructions, perform precision measurements, and consistently produce quality parts to specification. Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including horizontal and vertical equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job plans, and job travelers.
- Follow job orders and production instructions to meet required specifications.
- Perform first-piece inspections using precision measurement equipment.
- Monitor part quality and maintain consistent production standards.
- Perform basic maintenance on milling machines.
- Record time against the appropriate job operations.
- Follow supervisor instructions and established work procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
- Knowledge of CNC mill setup and operation for both horizontal and vertical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and produce parts to required specifications.
- Familiarity with FANUC controls.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
