Certified Pharmacy TechnicianAs a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will evaluate and authorize approval of commercial prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers using clinical criteria in a call center environment. You can work anywhere in the US and can apply from any part of US.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and authorize approval of pharmacy requests based on clinical criteria, documenting prior authorization outcomes and communicating pharmacy benefit coverage and formulary alternatives.Determine the appropriateness of medications and communicate decisions to physicians, office staff, medical management, and pharmacists.Escalate requests requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist following clear guidelines.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDState registration/licenseNational Pharmacy Technician Certification required (PTCB or NHA).1+ years of experience in retail or call center pharmacy environmentWork EnvironmentThis is a 100% remote position. The role involves 8-hour shifts between 7:15am CST - 9 pm CST, 5 days a week.
