About Our Property Welcome to the World of Whirlpool, a unique and innovative closed‑market facility situated in Chicago. Operating as a dedicated Training and Conference Center, our purpose revolves around supporting the Sales Enablement team for Whirlpool Corporation. The 8th floor is a state‑of‑the‑art showroom featuring 11 fully functional kitchens. We provide comprehensive hospitality services—including housekeeping, food and beverage offerings, meticulous event setups, and overall operational support—to support the showcase and training experience. Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends may be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel, convention/conference center, preferably in conference services department. Knowledge of conference service equipment, set‑up styles, and audio‑visual. Excellent computer proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office. High level of professionalism, aggressive guest service/hospitality skills, strong multi‑tasking, organization, and communication. Proactive approach toward client satisfaction and grooming standards. Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends. Must live in the local area or within commuting distance. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships with guests, groups, and other departments. Capable of working independently and constantly seeking improvement. Essential Functions Plan and ensure execution of group events: scheduling, room set‑ups, audio‑visual/production needs, food service, travel, lodging, transportation, vendor management, and special events. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including event operations, guest greeting, coat/luggage check, and data entry for event management. Promote effective utilization of the property’s meeting facilities and support services. Attend weekly designated meetings and perform administrative tasks such as distribution of event orders and reports. Build and maintain good relationships with clients, determining set‑ups, attendee numbers, facility needs, meal arrangements, and special requirements. Coordinate assigned events and work closely with operating departments to ensure smooth delivery of all services. Inspect meeting rooms for proper set‑ups, review billing before processing, and coordinate vendors, quotes, and contracts. Provide guests with information regarding meetings and services, and arrange recreation or special activities. Marginal Functions Ability to multitask. Excellent time‑management skills.
