Make a meaningful impact as a BCBA/Autism Specialist by supporting students and educators across multiple school sites in the Springfield area. This rewarding, contract position provides the opportunity to utilize your expertise in behavioral analysis and autism support to help optimize learning environments and empower staff. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate success for students with autism through evidence-based practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active BCBA certification (submission of screenshot required)
- Proven experience as a school-based BCBA or Autism Specialist (preference given to those with prior school-based experience)
- Skilled in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and writing comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Demonstrated ability to coach teachers and paraprofessionals in implementing effective behavior strategies
- Comfortable supporting autism classrooms and collaborating across diverse school teams
- Reliable transportation for traveling between four school sites
- Prepared to complete all necessary background checks and comply with fingerprinting and drug screening requirements
- Punctuality essential; timely arrival and departure required
- Professional communication in the event of illness or absence
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavior consultation and support to students and school staff
- Complete FBAs and develop individualized BIPs for students
- Offer ongoing classroom coaching to ensure fidelity of behavioral interventions
- Mentor and train teachers and support staff on autism-specific and behavioral best practices
- Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere among staff and multidisciplinary teams
