Job Summary/Basic Function


This position is at the IT Services Desk Duties:

• Answering phone calls and assisting the caller Assisting walk-up users
• Helping the full-time and part-time staff Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues
• Running malicious software detection programs (viruses, malware) Installing OS updates
• Assisting users with retrieving/changing account information

This can be a stressful area at times, but is a good learning environment for those wanting to work in the computer or customer service fields

Minimum Qualifications

• Enrolled for either summer or fall 2025
• Able to grasp new skills and concepts quickly
• Ability to work alone some times, but must be able to communicate well with team members
• Self motivated
• Ability to handle effectively users under much stress
• Macintosh and/or Linux experience a plus, but not necessary
